Landowners: work with a MyStateMLS agent

Where2Hunt does not take listings directly from owners. To have your property shown here, list it for sale with a real estate agent who is a member of MyStateMLS.

  1. Find a MyStateMLS agent in your state using the directory below.
  2. Your agent lists the property on MyStateMLS.
  3. Ask your agent to describe the hunting in the listing remarks: food plots, stands and blinds, the game you see, timber and water. Where2Hunt only shows land whose own description talks about hunting on the property.
  4. Once the listing is active, it appears on Where2Hunt automatically. We check for new listings every 15 minutes.

Which listings qualify

  • Active or coming soon, and for sale.
  • At least 5 acres, or 10 acres when the listing is mainly a home.
  • The remarks describe hunting on the property itself. Mentions of hunting nearby or on public land down the road do not count.
  • No restrictions such as no hunting, hunting rights reserved, or no firearms discharge.

Getting listed: common questions

Can I list my hunting land on Where2Hunt myself?

No. Where2Hunt does not accept listings directly from property owners. Land for sale on Where2Hunt comes only from MyStateMLS, so the property must be listed by a MyStateMLS real estate agent.

How do I find a MyStateMLS agent?

Use the MyStateMLS agent directory, which you can filter by state, to find a member agent near your property.

I am a real estate agent. How do I get my listing on Where2Hunt?

Join MyStateMLS and list the property there. Active MyStateMLS listings are checked automatically, and hunting land that meets the Where2Hunt criteria is published with your name and brokerage.

How long until my listing shows up?

Where2Hunt checks MyStateMLS for new and changed listings every 15 minutes, so a qualifying listing usually appears shortly after it goes active.

Why is my listing on MyStateMLS but not on Where2Hunt?

Most often the remarks do not describe hunting on the property, or the parcel is under 5 acres. Ask your agent to add details such as food plots, stands, blinds or the game on the land. Some borderline listings are reviewed by hand before they appear.
